who knows about fruits? do you? i need a tropical/exotic fruit that i can do a paper on. can u help?
i know there are a million fruits i can choose from, but i mentioned starfruit as a possibility to the prof. and he said that was way overdone (too commonly done). so i’m thinking, don’t do an over done fruit. well…what’s not overdone?
nobody mentioned a sitaphal. i’m gonna assume it’s fair game. thanks tho

Avocado
I guess exotic fruits depends on which part of the world you come from. I’m guessing not South east asia as u think starfruit is exotic. I am not too sure what paper you are writing but dragon fruit from vietnam is interesting. The way they grow it – lightling artificial lights at night at the planation to increase the growth rate is interetsing by itself. The colour is also striking.bright pink with white fleh dotted with balck seeds
Durians- king of fruits or mangosteens- queen of fruits can also be an interesting subject. Hope it helps
take your pick..
TAMARIND
how about a durian….
Widely known and revered in Southeast Asia as the “King of Fruits,”[1] the fruit is distinctive for its large size, unique odour, and formidable thorn-covered husk.
Papaya!
A few really exotic ones:
Matisia (Matisia cordata)
Fruit are round with a greenish leathery skin and sweet orange-yellow pulp which is quite high in fibre. Comes from South America.
Breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis)
Comes from South East Asia. An important starch staple in the Pacific. Flesh is used in the same way as potato. Large green fruit. Best served as deep fried chips. Can be cooked from frozen. Keeps well.
Ice-cream Bean (Inga edulis)
A large nitrogen fixing tree which produces bean pods up to 1 metre long which contain sweet, juicy, white pulp that has a soft cotton wool texture and tastes of vanilla ice-cream. Comes from Central and Southern America. “A delectable snack that comes in its own natural wrapper” which is loved by children.
Sapodilla (Manilkara zapota)
Small brown furry fruit with orange flesh which has a caramel taste. The sap from this plant was used as the base for chewing gum. Comes from Central America.
If you choose one of the above and google it, you should come up with plenty of info for a paper. An online encyclopedia would also have info.
Good luck!
How about UGLI? It’s almost a tangerine, but definitely fails in the good looks category.
Jack fruit and lychee (asian fruit)
Jack fruit is known to be smelly, its big as a basket ball (can be larger) and its spiky like a pineapple. It has a yellow flesh around the seed that you eat it tastes better than it smells.
