What herb can I grow?
I live in Hawaii and I want to start a small herb garden. What herbs can I grow outside in a tropical climate? Are there any good websites to help with this information?
Hi:
You are in an ideal location to grow herbs year around. I have grown thousands of herbs from seeds in a greenhouse. You can start the herbs from seeds and most will germinate in a week or two. You can do the basic culinary herbs such as Basil, Rosemary, Thyme, Parsley, Oregano, Chives and
even Garlic.
There are also hundreds of ornamental herbs. Herbs love sunny locations and some sandy soil. I have a section on my website on Herbs and Spices. I will link you to this section and browse through it. I will also link you to my site map as this page has everything that is on the website. There are many articles and photos with descriptions that may help you with planning – preparing and planting your herb garden. Many plant specimens are considered herbs, so in your geographic location, you will have a wide choice.
I hope this has helped some and if you need any further help, please feel free to contact me at the site. Good luck to you and have a great day!

You can grow any in Hawaii, but most will need some shading from all-day direct sun, and all will need plenty of water.
Basil and rosemary will probably do best.
